Chinggis Khan, born Temüjin, was the Great Khan and founder of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his death. He came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes of Northeast Asia.

2006 was the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Mongolian nation by Chinggis Khaan. Although the finer detail's of Chinggis Khaan life are not fully known, his birthplace is thought to be at Dadal Sum, an attractive wooded area in North-west Hentii region. The area contains trails and lakes for visitors as well as a museum where you can learn why this fierce warrior and great leader is still revered today. Dadal Sum once housed one of three great lamaist temples consecrated to Chinggis Khaan, but which was razed in the 1930s. Now there are stone monuments to him erected in the surrounding beauty of the Mongolian countryside.
Journey starts with a drive to Binder Khentii Province from Ulaanbaatar. Lunch upon check in at the Ger camp. Enjoy the wilderness and savour the opportunity to take photos with the locals, followed by authentic Mongolian dinner.
Our tour starts with the town of Dadal, at Deluun Boldog the birthplace of the legendary Great Chinggis Khaan. Standing tall is his great monument. Explore Binder, visit the sites related to Chinggis Khaan's childhood and sites related to Great Mongol Empire such as the Oglogchiin Wall, Rashaan Khad. In the afternoon, we will have traditional meals and enjoy the beautiful nature and horse riding tours of the area. Overnight stay in Ger camps.
In the morning, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar (2 ½ hours). On the way back, we will stop by some of the trails to trek wonderful wilderness. Transfer back to the city or to your next destination.
