Sky Resort – located in within the city of Ulaanbaatar has hills designed for skiing and snowboarding. There are 6km of slopes available and 4 ski lifts. The winter sports area is situated between the elevation of 1,376m and 1,596m. All snow gear, including safety gear are available for rent. Flood lights have also been installed to compensate for the early sunset during the winter months, however be sure to dress warm as temperature hovers in the range of -15 to -20 degree Celsius! Russian and Chinese spring Festivals which take place in January or February can be enjoyed here.
Skiing is possible between mid-November and March.
Upon arrival at the Chinggis Khaan Airport, you will be greeted by our guide where you will be transferred to the hotel, central of Ulaanbaatar. Free and easy for the rest of the day. In the evening, dinner will be had at a local restaurant together with your personal guide – Mongolian Cuisine, introducing the first flavours of Mongolia.
After breakfast, you will be greeted by your guide at your hotel and head towards the Sky Resort. Once we arrive, equipment rentals will be arranged (Sledges are also available for young children). Through the afternoon, quick bites and snacks are served in the Ski house Restaurant, which can accommodate up to 300 people. Fine dining option is also available at the Club House Restaurant. When you are done, transfer is arranged back to your hotel.
Morning transfer to the Sky Resort. For those who are keen, there is a traditional Onsen (Japanese Hot Spa) at the Sky Resort to sooth those aching bodies after a day of skiing. Dinner at the local restaurants followed by hotel transfer.
After breakfast, your driver will be waiting for you at the lobby where you will be transferred to the airport, or onwards to your next destination.
